school has been out for the summer for some time now and it’s the fever pitch of mid-summer action. excitedly you drive to a local airport and are in awe of being able to walk around the hangars and places you’ve never been allowed to be. up close to airplanes you’ve only read about, jaw-dropping and head-turning wildly to see everything as you walk down the ramp area, taking it all in. Then, you see it. Your eyes lock like a heat sinking missile and there is no stopping you till you hit your target. The Blue Angels! They are the stuff of legends and dreams. Aerial acrobatics and performances that even seeing can’t make you believe. You walk up to the pilots wide-eyed and stunned as if you were walking up to the living gods of the sky. even though you couldn't see the flight demo, the experience is etched into your memory. Along with your first time seeing them fly And even sitting in one of their cockpits at a Museum.
that day I walked away with a lifetime memory and cool pair of flexible sunglasses that looked like one of their gold visors. suffice it to say, I am a fan of the Blue Angels. At the time I wasn’t really a big watch fan, I liked them, they were neat and shiny and looked cool as hell. I had a quartz Esq at the time That had died. I had some cash and wanted to do something nice for myself and I decided I wanted a watch, and then I saw the Blue angels watch. Done!
i won’t bore you with a list of specs and details. what struck me with the watch was the ton of clutter with the fuel gauge, cities, markers, subdials, and loads of text. There is a lot going on. to me it looked like all the complicated information a fighter pilot would need on their wrist. The sub-dials look like gauges right out of an F18 It has lots to offer.
It’s complicated
the list of complications on this watch is long. Perpetual calendar, day date, 24hr indicator, world time, radio-controlled time, eco-drive solar-powered movement, sapphire crystal, 200m water resistance, and chronograph. wow. That’s a lot, it’s got everything but the jet engine.
when I first got this watch. I could barely read it. And it had nothing to do with my sketchy ability to tell time. But there is a lot going on. once you learn it, it’s a watch you don’t have to think of anymore. It allows you to check the atomic time radio signal strength, and the amount of eco drive charge you have. Among all the other things it does.
this watch is the definition of grab and go. The time and date sync to the atomic clock, and it has a world time for traveling. And with the 200m wr you can throw this on and literally never worry about it.
it’s always running, it’s always on time, it’s always right. Like my wife.

I don't really buy watches I don’t like. given my love for aviation and watches, you shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that I love this watch. The good:
looks like it was pulled out of a fighter jet cockpit
grab and go, never worry about setting it. Eco-Drive.
its many complications
The Bad:
It‘s many complications
the cluttered dial can be hard to read
it is a niche audience for this watch
so I don’t constantly state how amazing it is, it took me a while to learn all it could do, and to be able to read it well. You can’t easily get the time with a quick glance like you can on many other watches. But to me, those few shortcomings are easily beaten by the sheer cool factor this watch has, and it has enough that you could almost call it the Fonz.
so, if you're into modern military precision Aviation displays, got a soft spot for the best of the best, the blue angels, and don’t mind a cluttered dial, this watch should be on your buy soon list.
